Lion Country Safari

Mr Turtle In the Back Yard
Mr. Turtle being released at the pond
These are MY babies!
So Yesterday I was out back watering my plants. My potato vine was climbing up to my window, knocking and asking politly for a drink of water. So I went out and watered everyone. Upon doing so, I thought that I saw a turtle but NO it cannot be, we live three blocks from the pond and so I brushed it off as the football that we used to pitch around then was taken over by Mike the dog and perhaps eaten by the lawnmower. NOT a turtle.
Then I was in the house yesterday-kids home from school, John comes in and says, "Mom there is a turtle in the backyard." He says this like this is a normal occurance. I now think that their are small signs posted around the neighborhood that state, in animal verbage- "For Safe Haven, head to 2818 St. Johns" I have turtles in the back and Rabits in the front.
So I look over the fence, see Mr. Don (the neighbor with the perfect yard-no varments) and I realize that holy moly I cannot let this turtle live around here. Mr. Don has a 5500 Gal. pond with his Coi-his PET Coi. A turtle in the Coi pond is NOT a GOOD idea. SO we haul the turtle to the pond down the street. Catch and release people!
And speaking of my rabits! I love them. I woke up at 6AM today, looked outside and WHOA! the irrigation system is raining, pouring on MY babies! I book it outside, turn off the water and check my babies. Whew! They are fine. Not a drop and perhaps Bonnie does know what she is doing. But just in case Auntie Shannon is here to supervise and support. And I made Uncle Nate lake for work, he needed to see the babies. He said again that they are cute-I am SURE that my campaign is going well and perhaps I can move all 4 of the babies and Bonnie into my house.
I am keeping my fingers toes and hairs crossed.
